Please help us make a difference by donating to the Friends or by volunteering. Every year over 3000 cats, dogs and small animals benefit from the Home’s dedication to help local animals in need so, from as little as £3 per month, you can help to make real difference.
The Friends have always depended heavily on volunteers to run and support all our fund raising events. We need new blood and lots of muscle, so if you can please donate your time, energy and expertise we would love you to become a volunteer.
Each Friend gets a newsletter twice a year, with information on our recent activities and major events such as the Open Day in early September and a Christmas event in November/December, together with a copy of the Home Newsletter. In addition, they have the satisfaction of knowing their contributions go directly to animal welfare, at minimum cost.
For more information on becoming a Friend, simply complete the form below and we’ll send you the information.
If you are a standard rate taxpayer, we can reclaim £0.25p for each £1.00 from the Inland Revenue for the charity, so please also complete a Gift Aid mandate. If you pay at the higher tax rate you can claim further tax relief in your self-assessment tax return.
You can also remember us in your will. Legacies are exempt from inheritance tax and can reduce your IHT liability. By simply stating your wishes in your will and quoting our charity number. It is also now possible to donate unwanted shareholdings directly to the charity e.g. individually held windfall shares as a result of privatization or demutualization.
